Archigram, an avant-garde architectural group formed in London in the 1960s, looked to a future which could be antiheroic and pro-consumer. Drawing inspiration from new technologies in order to suggest an alternative reality that they visualised through a series of hypothetical projects, their works offered a seductive vision of a possible glamorous and optimistic future.
