Danijel Zezelj published his first comic while studying in his first year at The Academy of fine Arts in Kroatia. Since 1986 his comics and illustrations were published in various magazines and books in the previous Yugoslavia, Slovenia, England, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, America etc. In 1993 he published his first graphic novel Editiori Del Grifo and in collaboration with Federico Fellini Il Ritmo Del Cuore.
