Bakuon Film Festival 2009
Crossing the boundary into the extreme, the "Bakuon Film Festival" changes cinema acoustics to rock concert acoustics - full blast! (in Japanese, the 'baku' part of bakuon means 'explosion' and 'on' means sound). Experiencing a movie at such a high volume is a real trip - with an effect which extends to your visual experience of the work. In addition to the strength of loud noises, the ability to hear sounds that are not normally able to be heard adds a subtle edge to the whole affair.
May 5 (Friday) - June 13 (Saturday) 2009 Kichijoji BAUS THEATER This year's showing extended to 2 weeks due to popular demand! www.bakuon-bb.net
