A Benefit Show for the Environment
Open Space Gallery New York, 12th April - 3rd May
The average family brings home 1,000 plastic bags every year. It is time for us to switch from a disposable society to one which reduces, reuses and recycles. This show will help spread the message that we care about our planet and do not want to just consume until there is nothing left. We are certain that we will all make a difference.
Open Space has asked 125 artists from around the world to donate their time and talent to this cause in the form of custom-designed tote bags. The bags will be on display and available to purchase at Open Space from April 12th thru May 3rd and will also exist on this site during and after the show for all to see and purchase. 90% of the proceeds from the sales of the show will go to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, an amazing New York-based organization committed to environmental educaiton and advocacy.

Tokyo Art Beat on Paper? Introducing the Tokyo Art Map
Since its launch in October 2004 TAB has published information on more than 18,000 events. That's more than 400 events a month. Who'd have thought there were that many art & design events happening in Tokyo each month?!
We recently decided to take a selection of those events and publish them every 2 months on a printed map. We are hoping to make it easier for people to navigate the city in their search for exhibitions. This map will also allows us to reach a broader audience, driving new traffic to the venues and our website.
The first issue (April-May) features 50 events grouped in 7 areas: Ginza, Kyobashi, Ueno, Roppongi, Shinjuku, Omotesando and Shibuya.
