New Artist - DGPH
In 2005 Martin Lowenstein and Diego Vaisberg set up the design studio DGPH. Mixing different techinques and media as illustration, photographs, traditional drawings and digital images, they create their own and unique style. The result are illustrations for all kind of 2dimensional print, a world of characters and creatures that became 3dimensional volume as toys and push dolls. They toured with their work in Russia (Freaky people Exhibition), France at Artoys (Un diner avec des taupes) and the USA (USA Mole Tour) and love to collaborate with musicians, artists and for events. http://www.dgph.com.ar

Lucy Vigrass designed "Casa BRUTUS" cover
Lucy Vigrass, UK illustrator and member of the design collective Peepshow designed the Cover of Casa Brutus May issue. She created the cover for the main theme of the issue: new trends in furniture and a feature about the Salone Milano furniture fair.

Kosuke Tsumura Exhibition "MUZIN"
Seamlessly merging his interests in design, fashion and art, Kosuke Tsumura has consistently mined the intersections between these disciplines through his fashion brand Final Home and his custom-made “Fantasy Mode to Order” apparel for female artists. Tsumura’s show at Nanzuka Underground, itself an experimental home for cross-genre creative projects, features his layered sculptures, cobbled together from a mix of existing, finished products and raw fabrics, extending the clothing metaphor of “wrapping” to the realm of fine art.

A drama on Fuji TV, "Last Friends" × graniph collaboration
"Last Friends" started as a TV drama on Fuji TV on April 10th featuring a selection of most popular & gorgeous stars today. It's a realistic human story of a group of people in the midst of their youth who are too frightened to fall in love but begin to live their own lives positively. It focuses on a variety of modern issues such as DV(=Domestic Violence), sexlessness, genderlessness and so on. Michiru (Masami Ngasawa), Ruka (Jyuri Ueno), Takeru (Eita), Eri (Asami Mizukawa) and Sosuke (Ryo Nishikido) who have their own problems learn the importance of friendship and human relationship through their lives in a shared house.
Collaborative T-shirts with "Last Friends" will be making appearance! The motif that is seen on the mugs in several scenes in the program is used for back print.

K+Me: Weirdos exhibition
We are having an exhibition from design and creative unit K+Me titled "Weirdos" on this coming Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th.
This exhibition presents 18 original collages made as weirdos characters. The show also includes animation and fashion designers Encadreurs' 2008 Autumn/Winter collection which also use weirdos characters as a pattern. Make sure to be here on May 24th for the opening party!

New Artist - Gini Helie
Virginie Helie was born in Nice, South of France in 1975. She studied graphics and photography, and worked as a freelance photographer and stylist for 6 years in London UK, Including working for LODOWN magazine. She then arrived in Sydney , where she found a passion for drawing and painting on wood pieces she found in the streets. Her work is a cross between realistic portraits and abstract patterns, using watercolours, pencils and fluro pens. She exhibited at the Artroom Gallery, OUR SPOT Gallery, MonsterChildren Gallery, ZOE MOU Gallery, Spacejunk Gallery, Fat Stores, Dobry Den store and CURVY Book (p69)/Yen Show in Sydney. Design Festival DMY in Berlin
The annual Berlin Design Festival opens its doors this year for the first time as DMY Design Mai Youngsters(previously Designmai). With a 7.000 square meter exhibition space and more than 150 designers, the DMY Youngsters exhibition has succeeded in establishing itself as a not-to-be-missed event in the international scene for young, creative and innovative design in Berlin.
