Yke Schotten

Yke Schottenis an illustrator and and artist. She lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Her prints and drawings are done in sharp black outlines. Her work is inspired by comics and graphic novels. Subjects vary from personal portraits to fashiondesign like line-up of characters. Animals and human beings pose as models and mannequins, but in a different and slightly bizarre way. Yke's pieces are best described as story stills taken from the exciting space between phantasy and reality.
She is represented by several dutch galleries and Unit Creative Management Amsterdam.
