Mike Jarboe

Mike Jarboe is an artist/designer living and working in San Diego, California. After relocating from the East Coast over a decade ago, he has worked as a visual designer/director for companies such as Burton, DC Shoes, Emerica, Nike SB, Nixon, Quiksilver, Ride Snowboards, Staple Design, 686, Transworld Snowboarding/Skateboarding, Vans, as well as showing his work with Dubstep, 55DSL, Modart, Refill Mag and Semi-Permanent, among others.

His personal art and design work is highly influenced by the contrast of opposition, thematics of universal dichotomies and the ethos of counterculture.

Abstract and symbolic image and typography studies focus on concepts relating to the inherent tension and duality of the human experience.
