Andre Casaclang: Healthcare Deprivation

"I was at a birthday party when I was about 5 and I remember there was this clown who gave everyone a balloon at the party except me, which left me feeling a little left out. I think we've all felt left out in some insignificant way or another, and by connecting this feeling that everyone can relate to, to something much more important, hopefully people will understand why health care should be for everyone."

Meta Newhouse: Empty Calories

"Nuclear is available now, and appears to be a quick and easy solution, BUT it has long-term effects and issues such as creating unsustainable amounts of radioactive waste. I felt that cola was a good metaphor for this message, as it is fulfilling now, but really has no positive long-lasting benefit for those who drink it."

Natalia Delgado: Toilet Paper

"The idea for the poster emerged from the main phrase on the brief: is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights worth the paper is written on? My image is an ironic response to this question."

Riccardo Perello: Delete All Now

"'Delete all now?' is like a confirmation request by a computer before the final deletion of a document. Europe’s leaders must sign such a document to guarantee a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020 this December in Copenhagen, to prevent the extinction of 1/3 of animals by 2050. The image, an encyclopedic sheet showing animal species cut by a shredder, communicates this."

Roberto Anzani: Nuclear Power is Unreal

"My idea for the poster started with a wordplay, switching the first two letters of nuclear you get the word unclear, as many aspects of nuclear power and its benefits remain unclear."

Sian Richardson: End it Now

"I kept the colours to a minimum. As the colours of the nuclear power symbol are black and yellow, I wanted to use only these basic ones to keep it as close to the issue as possible. As you can't really see the whole paper this leaves the viewer to imagine what is happening."
